CNA - HHA careers are hot right now and for years to come. Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides are in demand now more than ever before. An again population and efforts to reduce expenses are two reasons for this boom. Aging and retirement of present CNAs and HHAs is another reason. Schooling is expensive, but the income and job opportunities offset this, and education is always an investment in the future. The potential for these careers is expanding with every passing year, so it is a good idea to check it out and get going.
There are loan and scholarship programs available to help with expenses. Programs are designed to fit into busy schedules, so you can be a homemaker or work and still get your education in a timely manner. You can finish a program in as little as nine months training and start working quickly. For these programs you will need to study hard, and learn a new medical language to be effective. Schooling is not difficult, but like any worthwhile pursuit, you get out what you put into it. Medical terminology and procedures are things you will learn, and computer skills are important.

CNA Program Requirement and Career Expectations
There are some low cost programs that will provide training, but you may have to commit to working at their facility for some time afterward as part of the program. That is not a bad way to get into this lucrative career if your financial situation is a problem. Some programs on sight are just weeks long, others range from 6 months and upwards in time. Cost will vary with the program. For a general educational course at a college, you will pay more and need more time to compete the course, especially if you are going on a part time schooling basis.
Demand is expected to run into multiple hundreds of thousands of jobs in the coming years. You can live anywhere and find work, and that is always a plus when job seeking. Particularly in the sunbelt states, where many elderly retire, you will find new hospitals and nursing homes opening that need qualified workers. CNA - HHA careers are hot; it's a great choice!
